Blackout Blinds - Roller/Roman
Blackout blinds, roller or roman, are made using blackout fabrics which completely block out the sun light. They are ideal in bedrooms but also bathrooms and indeed any other room where near darkness is required such as a home cinema or office.
There are several ways to achieve blackout blinds. Roller blinds are manufactured using special fabrics which have a high density ensuring intimacy. Alternatively there is an option of using a blackout coating on the reverse of the blind which gives the same effect. When producing roman blinds there is the option of adding a blackout lining material to the blind to achieve the effect.
Amongst all the blackout blinds, roller blinds tend to be more limited in colour range, however there are a large number of plain colours available and some patterns.
Another option might be a dimout roller blind which is ideal where full privacy is required and will darken a room considerably, just to a lesser extent than a blackout blind. The blind is manufactured in a heavy weave fabric rather than with a blackout coating. Such a blind is ideal in all rooms where semi-darkness and privacy are required and comes in a more extensive colour range than a blackout blind.
