Entertaining this Christmas…?

Monday, December 14th, 2015

window treatmentsDecember is one of the most popular times of the year to welcome visitors into our homes. The festive season prompts the opportunity to entertain both family and friends. Often the preparation when hosting these events includes more than simply popping out to the local supermarket to stock up on food and wine! Jobs which have been accumulating throughout the year suddenly get completed, clutter and things which are no longer needed are addressed and you find yourself looking at your surroundings in a completely different manner.

Is it really x amount of years since we decorated? Why do we still have those `temporary curtains` in place? I`ve never liked that design. Wouldn’t a blind/plantation shutters look so much better than the existing curtains? I`m sure someone can do something about that unusual shaped window we’ve avoided thinking about!

By simply changing the window treatment we can transform/lift the whole room.

Curtain and blind installationAre you a DIY enthusiast? Have you ever completed redecorating a room, or having a room decorated thinking you can add the finishing touches such as the window treatment s yourself? Only to find they have resulted in disaster? Is your window a standard size? (few are!) Are you able to attach fixtures into a recess? Are your walls straight, new, old? Do they suffer from flaking, unstable plaster? Are you worried about pipes and cables? Getting the pole/track level? Does the hole for the fitting just get bigger and bigger as you drill? Have you chosen a blind/curtain/pelmet combination?

We appreciate each installation can come with hidden complications, even if you have tackled something similar before, there is no guarantee this installation will be the same. We can take away all the hassle and stress by not only helping you to choose the window treatment but providing it and then ensuring it is safely in situ leaving the area mess free and your privacy and home respected. More often than not, the consultant who you have got to know will be the person who comes back to install your chosen products. No need to worry about a stranger now coming into your home!

All of the Dress My Windows consultants are fully trained with an extensive knowledge and experience of installation which prepares them well with regard to advising clients which window treatment will work well and is most suited to each window.
